Two Seats in the Third row of a Mazda 5 | Child Car Seats | Forum

This car, the Madza 5, was the closest I could get DH to a minivan! :-)

We have 2.5 year old twins and a newborn. We are planning on putting the newborn in the second row and the boys in the third row. We currently have two Britax Marathons and have a hard time getting a good secure fit in the third row. We haven't had this issues in other cars (even non-latch cars). I have done some research and it seems that the third row of the Mazda 5 is a difficult row in general to fit carseats.

I was hoping to get your wisdom on what seats would fit best back there. The Marathons are great seats, but it seems like because they are so big that might be why they are difficult to fit.

As far as budget goes, I have no issue spending $200 on a new seat as long as it has a high weight limit (like 60+ pounds), since we'll use it for years! I have been eying the Radian since it seems like it has a small profile.

Any other thoughts from those who drive a 5 or have installed carseats in a 5? I searched the database here and there were only reviews from the Marathon in the second row, which we already know is a good fit!
