Travel Systems

Technically, all of the strollers we carry on EliteCarSeats.com could be considered 'Travel Systems' since they are all compatible with at least one Infant Car Seat we also sell. The strollers you will find in this area, however, are your typical 4-wheeled, feature-packed strollers that come with all the extra goodies.

Pros - Cons -
  • Packaged with an infant car seat
  • Will work instantly with a car seat without the need for any extra car seat adapter
  • Often have a lot of free goodies like parent consoles, child trays, foot muffs, etc
  • Smaller plastic wheels make for a rough ride on bumpy sidewalks and park trails
  • Lower maximum weight capacities than Jogging Strollers meaning you won't get as many years use out of them

Car Seat Strollers

The term "Car Seat Strollers" means simply: strollers that are compatible with infant car seats. Typically 4-wheeled or less, these strollers are designed in such a way that parents and caretakers can easily transfer children from the car to the stroller by removing their infant carrier from its car seat base and attaching the carrier to the stroller. Fully compatible models may use the same attachment system on the stroller that is used with the car seat base.

All strollers listed on EliteCarSeats are technically "Car Seat Strollers", but different models are only compatible with certain infant carriers, so make sure you check before purchasing one. A Car Seat Stroller is not a "Travel System". A Travel System is a package deal that includes a car seat / infant carrier and a stroller in one purchase. A Car Seat Stroller is simply a stroller that is compatible with one or more car seats. Every stroller we carry at EliteCarSeats.com is car seat compatible, just make sure you get the right one for your favorite Elite Car Seat.

Pros - Cons -
  • Most match at least one Infant Car Seat to a tee, color, pattern, everything
  • Often have a lot of free goodies like parent consoles, child trays, foot muffs, etc
  • Will work instantly with a car seat without the need for any extra car seat adapter
  • Smaller plastic wheels make for a rough ride on bumpy sidewalks and park trails
  • Lower maximum weight capacities than Jogging Strollers meaning you won't get as many years use out of them

Jogging Strollers

All of the strollers we carry - jogging or otherwise - are Infant Car Seat compatible. If you are less concerned about car seat compatibility and more with a good jogging stroller to fit your needs, you might want to check out www.JoggingStroller.com for a greater selection and more information. So just what is a 'Jogging Stroller'? We consider any stroller with a front 12" or larger air-filled tire a Jogging Stroller. Don't judge, though - just because they're called 'Jogging Strollers' doesn't mean they are only meant for joggers. In fact, most people purchasing jogging strollers now-a-days get them for their smooth ride on walks around the block or in parks. Some quick Pros and Cons:

Pros - Cons -
  • Higher weight capacities for long term use
  • Built with durability in mind to handle all kinds of terrain
  • Air filled tires provide more shock absorption for an easier push
  • Will NOT match your car seat perfectly like a Travel System Stroller
  • Most Jogging Strollers require you to purchase an extra Car Seat Adapter in order to be compatible with an Infant Car Seat
  • Typically will not include a lot of extras like parent and child trays or footmuffs and other soft goods

***Note: All Jogging Strollers will need a car seat adapter to be used with an Infant Car Seat. You can purchase the adapters in the Brand Accessories.
