Our Review of the Baby Planet Max Pro Travel System

The Baby Planet Max Pro Travel System is a stylish, simple, and affordable stroller that accepts most infant car seats on the market today, then converts to seated stroller with a 5-point harness. Ergonomic and minimalist, the Max Pro travel system stroller is a reflection of Baby Planet's strong environmental commitment.

Not only is this stroller light and versatile, when your child has outgrown the stroller you will have the option of recycling it with Baby Planet's free 'Stroller Recycling Program'.

Many parents base their stroller decision on the car seats it's compatible with. With the Baby Planet Max Pro travel system you can take your time choosing the best car seat, because it works with most infant car seats on the market. Then, once your baby has outgrown the car seat, simply replace the Baby Planet car seat adapter with the reclining Comfort-Fit stroller seat. Now you can keep strolling with a toddler up to 45 lbs.

Convenience

The Max Pro stroller is reasonably lightweight, easy to push, and offers convenience features like a large underside storage basket and two cupholders for your drinks. The adjustable handlebar allows parents of different heights to push the stroller comfortably, and the whole unit folds into a compact package for easy storage or transportation.

Best of all, the car seat adapter is simple as can be. Simply put your car seat in place, lower and tighten the retainer bar, and you and your baby are ready to go! Also, the infant seat is high enough that you won't be bending over constantly to tend to your baby's needs.

Pushability

The Baby Planet Max Pro baby travel system rides on three rubber wheels. 10" in the rear and a single 8" swivel wheel up front. This combination makes for a very easy push and great maneuverability in tight spaces. The front wheel locks forward for better control on rough terrain.

Also, the light aluminum frame of this Baby Planet travel system stroller weighs a mere 18.5 lbs (and 25.5 lbs with the stroller seat attached).

Compatibility

Unlimited infant car seats!

Normally you would see a bulleted list of infant car seats here, denoting what seats are compatible with this stroller. The Baby Planet Max Pro travel system is compatible with nearly every infant car seat on the market. No tools are required to switch between the adaptor and the Comfort-Fit seat.

*As of right now, the only seats that are not accommodated are the Chicco Key Fit and Bebe Comfort. Also, the Max Pro will not work with the Graco Safe Seat Step 1 up to its full weight capacity of 30 lbs.

Your infant's comfort in the Max Pro Travel System depends on the car seat you use, but for a boy or girl big enough to sit in the Comfort-Fit seat there's a padded front bumper bar . . . which they love. The seat also reclines - for maximum rider relaxation.

COMPARISON

The Baby Planet Max Traveler 3 Wheel travel System is an affordable alternative to the Quinny Buzz and Bugaboo Cameleon, though lacking in certain features and amenities offered by those strollers. Beyond a (significantly) lower price, the Max Traveler's key advantage over those European strollers is its car seat adapter (which, unlike a Bugaboo, you do NOT need to purchase separately) and lightweight frame.

One drawback: At this time, Baby Planet does offer have any aftermarket accessories for Max Traveler. However, some will become available in the coming months.
