Recaro ProRIDE Convertible Car Seat Description
RECARO has taken the best of both worlds from the Como G2 and Signo G2 to bring you the ProRIDE convertible car seat. The ProRIDE is part of the ProSERIES line of child safety seats, fully assembled in the USA, and is replacing the former two convertible car seats. The ProRIDE may not be the most stylish convertible car seat on the market, but it is a quality seat, designed with numerous safety and convenience features that will please any parent. As advocates for Side Impact Protection in child safety seats, RECARO designed the ProSERIES collection to protect the five main vulnerable areas of a child’s body – the head, neck, face, torso and pelvis.

The push button LATCH system easily attaches to your vehicle’s lower anchors, and when not in use, the connectors conveniently stow away within the base of the seat. Attach the top tether to the appropriate attachment point in your vehicle when installing the seat in the forward-facing position.
Ensure a snug and secure seat belt installation with the RECARO’s TrueLock Belt Lock Off, which locks the vehicle seat belt in the routed belt path of the seat to limit the amount of movement. The ProRIDE reclines in the rear-facing position to ensure baby is positioned at the appropriate angle.

My son loves his Recaro and so do I. Very easy to install, very easy to adjust and easy to clean. The protection is awesome, unlike any seat I have checked out! The crotch strap is adjustable, unlike a similar-costing seat (starts w/a B…) The shipping was free and no tax so it beat the pants of any seat I could get at Babies R Us. it arrived on time. I will definitely recommend this seat to others! We are sold on Recaro!

but we’re sending it back. I’m sad to do it, but the ProRide is simply too large to fit rear-facing in our Volvo xc70 without blocking the sun! I deliberated and researched this car seat for at least a month and was excited when the ProRide arrived and my 19 month-old sat in the seat happily reading books in our living room for at least a half hour. Because we want to keep her rear-facing as long as possible, I installed it that way (easily) in the back passenger-side seat but was unable to see over it when I looked over my shoulder toward her window. In a side-by-side comparison with our Britax Boulevard CS that her sister rides in, it doesn’t appear that much bigger, but the arm rests are somewhat higher. This is an outstanding seat and I think it wins hands-down for safety. Wish it had worked for us.
