After earning a number of top awards among European consumer tests, the Solution X-fix high back boosters are now available in the US. Among the stand out features of this booster seat are its cutting edge design, enhanced safety and ease of use. Equipped with ISOFIX Connect (aka rigid LATCH) and LATCH Guides, parents have the ability to install this booster car seat using their vehicle’s Lower Anchors for added stability of the seat, whether occupied or not.

Installation: The Solution X-fix Plus is equipped with ISOFIX Connect (aka rigid LATCH) and connects to your vehicle’s LATCH system in seconds. The reclining backrest and pivoting, extendable arms of the rigid LATCH adjust to accommodate the angle and depth of the vehicle seat for the most accurate fit possible. A benefit of rigid LATCH, as opposed to flexible lower anchor hooks, is that they are the standard width apart as the Lower Anchor connectors in your vehicle, eliminating the risk for misuse in non-approved LATCH seating positions. The secure install of the Solution X-fix Plus keeps it from becoming a projectile in the event of an accident, whether occupied or not.
The included CYBEX LATCH Guides help direct the Lower Anchor connectors of your Solution X-fix Plus to the Lower Anchors of your vehicle for a fast and easy install. The best part about the LATCH Guides is they can remain in your vehicle! No more sliding your hand in the crack of the seat searching for the Lower Anchors. To uninstall the CYBEX booster, pull the lever located under the front of the booster car seat and extend the Solution X-fix Plus away from the vehicle seat. Once extended, push the red triggers found on the LATCH connectors at the back of the seat and disengage the connectors.
Please be aware that some vehicles Lower Anchors are positioned on the OUTSIDE of the vehicle seat belt connectors. When that’s the case, it is not possible to use LATCH with this booster car seat because it will not allow access to buckle in the vehicle seat belt while in use. The Solution X-fix Plus can also be used without LATCH. Simply flip up the Lower Anchor connectors of the booster and slide them into the base of the seat for storage.
Note: Your vehicle may state a set weight limit for its LATCH anchors (40 or 48 lbs). This weight limit does NOT apply to booster seats with LATCH because the Lower Anchors on a booster seat are only intended to secure the weight of the booster seat itself (approximately 15 lbs in this case). The vehicle’s lap and shoulder belts secure the weight of the child; because of this, you can use LATCH with the Solution X-fix Plus up to 100 lbs.

This booster was an amazing find. It has all of the safety features that as parents, we require. It’s comfortable and easy for my daughter, which makes our car trips happier! It’s so easy to install and use on a daily basis. We just ordered a second one for our other car. If safety and comfort are more important than having a cup holder, then this is the seat to use.

I bought the Cybex X-fix + booster seat just a couple of days before a 600 mile car trip, it got to me just in time. It was super easy to install. With the latch guides in place you just push back and ‘click’ it’s in! Removing it is almost as easy, push buttoms, pull back, it’s out! It can be installed in the car in one second and out in the next. The reclining head rest is great. My son was able to snooze in the car with his head tilted back not leaning forward and bobbing around. We had one hitch in the trip… my son got car sick and threw up! However, I was able to take the seat out of the car and clean up with out having to climb in the car and fumble around with straps and latch hooks like his old car seat (that was worth the money in itself). The microfiber wiped off well but when we got to our destination I was pleased to find that the seat cover is easy to take off, wash, and snap back on. This seat was truely tested by my son and this trip and really earned that five stars. Also, When asked if he likes his new car seat my son replied “it’s awesome,” I think so too!
