Installation
The Chicco KeyFit 30 infant car seat installs rear facing only, with either LATCH or your vehicle’s seat belts. The base of the KeyFit 30 features a unique1-pull LATCH tightening system that simplifies the entire installation process and ensures a tight fit with every installation. The base of the KeyFit is equipped with a level indicator that clearly displays the proper angle of your car seat. If the angle is a little off, simply adjust the KeyFit 30′s foot prop to get the optimum angle.
The carrier of the KeyFit 30 can be installed without the seat base by using your vehicle safety belts.

I would suggest this system to EVERYONE! The stroller is the only one that stands on its own when folded up. folding and unfolding is easier than any other stroller we looked at. The carseat installs easy. My daughter loves it. The newborn insert was wonderful…it really kept her snug. I will use chicco with all future children. My husband can work it easily also! The only set back is that it won’t hook into shopping carts…..but for safety reasons I wouldn’t use that feature even if it did.

Our baby was in the neonatal unit for 6 weeks and in order to bring her home we had to pass the car seat test…we passed with flying colors of course b/c the seaat kept her head up and very secure…we have been very happy with this seat…you will not regret your purchase. The Dr’s are suggesting that car seat now to preemie parents!

I really did my research on travel systems months before our son was born and this is one of the best systems out there. Our son was premature and weighed 4 lbs. at birth. Thanks to the seat insert, he fit in it perfectly from the get go. He is now 2 months old and he is still comfortable with the insert and falls asleep quite easily in the car seat. The key fit feature makes it a breeze to install and remove the car seat from the vehicle and the stroller is an exceptionally smooth ride for the little guy. Two thumbs up for this product! We subsequently went and purchased the matching playard which is also outstanding! Well done Chicco!

We love this system and highly recommend it. We were planning to buy a Graco until a friend (a car seat installation instructor) recommended the Key Fit seat. We tested several strollers in the store and this one steers a lot more smoothly and the whole system is just very well made compared to others. The only issue we’ve had is my son’s back gets hot when he’s in the seat for an extended period of time, but it doesn’t seem to bother him. This system is worth the extra price.

After much research, we decided upon the Chicco Cortina Travel System and could not be happier. The car seat fit my son perfectly when he was a newborn as it does now. It does keep him a bit warm, but that was definetly not a problem since he is a winter baby. I actually had to dress him down, just whatever clothes he was wearing with a blanket over him kept him very warm in freezing weather. The carseat easily snaps into the base. The stroller is well-made and sturdy. The car seat fits nicely in the stroller. It folds up very easily (one hand and foot)and opens with one hand. It is a lot lighter than other travel system strollers. I had a c-section and had no problem getting it in and out of the trunk of my SUV. I also love the parent tray and cup-holder. It fits my keys, cell phone and a drink perfectly. It rides very smooth on even terrain (have not tried rough terrain yet). I am thrilled with this travel system. It was the best purchase we made!! I am also more than pleased with the customer service from elitecarseats. Delivery was very quick. The stroller and the carseat are shipped out seperately by Fed Ex. When we received the stroller, we did not receive the car seat. I called elitecarseats and they immediately sent me out another car seat with no questions asked. Well, the car seat came later that day. I called them back. They told me that they had already sent the carseat out. They sent me a return label and arranged a Fed Ex pick up of the carseat. They were great to do business with and will definetly buy from them again!!
